This year Moonglu CC will be hosting rounds 2 and 5 of the north yorkshire evening road
race league. The races are fast paced 25mph+, cat 3/4 regional B. Its professionally run by
TM traffic management and refereed by British Cycling who will provide commissaries.
We have been lucky enough to secure the use of Cundal Manor school for the car parking
changing and registration. Those of you who took part in our time trial last year will be
familiar with the course. Rolling out from the school it turns left at Cundal and heads up
towards Norton-le-clay. Somewhere on this stretch of road the commissaries will start the
race. Turning left towards Boroughbridge and then left again through Milby and towards
Thornton Manor. At this junction the riders will turn left again towards Cundal to complete one circuit.
We are expecting a full field of 60 riders so the peloton will be fast and should make for
some exciting racing. Obviously it will be great to see some of our own club members taking part and flying the flag.
None of this will be possible without your help. We need volunteers to marshall the event,
people to run the registration, look after car parking and manage the school, British cycling and the traffic management company also need our volunteers to help so you can see it will be one huge team effort. So that's May 11th and then we do it all again June 22nd.
More information will appear here as we get closer to the race including:- route maps,
marshalling positions, volunteers sign-up sheet and race results with photographs.
